Public Debate: Maltese Citizens, European Citizens
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, the Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties, together with the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC), organized a Public Dialogue entitled ‘Maltese Citizens, European Citizens’ to commemorate the 9th anniversary of Malta’s Accession to the European Union, the European Year of Citizens 2013, and Europe Day.
The public dialogue, which was held on Saturday 4th May, was addressed by the Hon. Louis Grech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, and the Hon. Dr. Helena Dalli, Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties, with the participation of a panel comprising members of the European Parliament Dr. Joseph Cuschieri and Roberta Metsola; Dr. Vanni Xuereb, Head of MEUSAC and Dr. Mark Harwood, Senior Lecturer at the Institute of European Studies at the University of Malta.
